Like many family men my photography was limited to taking snaps of my wife and 2 sons as they were growing up.
I joined a local camera club about 20 years ago and began to see and understand the techniques required to make good photographs.
I became very interested in photographing the wonderful scenery of the West Coast and Highlands of Scotland. I have reasonably easy access to these areas from my home base and nearly all of the outdoor images were taken in these locations.
Scotland is a beautiful country and I hope that the galleries I am presenting to you convey that.
I also have a great love of photographing colourful flowers, birds, insects and small creatures in close up. I find the world of macro photography quite fascinating. I hope that you enjoy these images also.
Over the last 7 or 8 years I have been doing less landscape photography due to arthritis in my knees and general age related wear and tear. I have also had a keen interest in surreal art for a long time so with my moderate Photoshop knowledge I started creating surreal images for a bit of fun. My 2 sons enjoy seeing these images also which gives me great pleasure.
