Blue Morpho 'Morpho menelaus' from Central and South America. The underside of the wing is shown. This butterfly has amazing iridescent metallic blue coloured upper wings but it closes its wings the instant it lands making it almost impossible to photograph the blue side of the wings with a macro lens.
